Easy Come, Easy Go
Well--I have failed. I am a big fat failure. I fell of the horse. The wagon. But do not worry my friends, Meagan is getting back on that horse--or wagon! You see, General Conference approached, and I always think...it's the time to be spirituality fed, and peanut butter M&M's fed. I think you know how the story ends. I gained back almost all of my weight, in 3 glorious, lazy, NO self-control days. As I weighed myself this morning, I thought wow, I took off 8 pounds in 2 weeks, and gained it all back in 3 days! HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAA! So my positive out look on it is--at least I started the diet, and I am not really really fat...just back to my normal fat. YEAH! It is kinda of stinky...I mean...AH MAN! But I am back to eating bananas, and skim milk. I am getting back to being healthy. This is just one step backwards. "Never give up. Never surrender."

Oldies...but goldies
I guess I am an old lady at heart! HA! I do drive a Ford Taurus, (which around Beaufort, I noticed that a lot of oc-to-gen-arians (a person is from the age of 80-89. new word I learned!) drive Taurus(es). And how do I know that? I go to the "Fit Over Fifty" class at the gym. Now, let me explain. 50 is way younger than 80....that's for sure. And the other classes at the gym, are really tough--and I don't want to feel like I am dying when I WORK OUT--I want to at least smile, and breathe, while I squat, or lift weights. AND they do listen to great music...like ELVIS! AND I feel really great about myself when I work out with the elderly. It really motivates me. Sad, but true. Again, I am an old lady at heart. But when I am fifty, I'll be in great shape, and live longer....and I can do the harder classes..when I grow-up..er get older. See-- I got it figured out. I don't know why everybody is doin' the FIT OVER 50 CLASS. I'm gonna call it the "fit over fidy" for now on.
Anyways, my point is, I like old things. Like my new favorite show...The Adventures of Superman!
I have also loved Superman, since the early '90's, with Lois and Clark:
I love the simple fun stories, Superman, always smart and know what to do to stop the bad guys. And George Reeves, who plays Superman and Clark Kent, does to my opinion, makes the show so great!
I just wanted my friends to know that I love it. I LOVE IT! There I said it.Thursday, March 28, 2013
Just Say No
HELLOOoooOOOOOoooo0! I am just doing fantastic! Thanks for asking! Well we are in the 4th day of our healthy---train like a champion diet--and I am starving! HA HA! Just kidding. Well I think I can always eat food. Its actually going pretty well. It has its ups and downs, but I have not once gave into temptation. Here is something I have learned ALREADY after 4 days!
SELF CONTROL!
Self control....you gotta use a little self control. I am the boss of what I do and EAT try SELF-CONTROL TODAY! That's a little song I sing to myself if I pass the oreos, or doughnuts, candy aisle at the grocery store. GO ME! Let me just tell you the delicious, mouth-watering, appetizing, truly scrumptious delights that I have passed up!
1) A mini sized butterfinger (MY FAVORITE!)
2) a bite of a pop tart (SWEET AND SUGARY!)
3) Chocolate truffle!!!!
4) CHOCOLATE CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOOOOOO MEAGAN!!!!!!!!!!!! I am really happy that I do have SELF- CONTROL. I think it is some deep hidden super power that I have...that I can be good--and you know what? The healthy foods for dinner and lunch have been quite delicious. YESSSSS!
Don't get me wrong--I do kill for a Sonic Oreo Blast--but why do it? I have been going strong for FOUR whole days! HA HA. I do notice that my body is starting to shake--and my eye is starting to twitch. I think my body misses the brownies, cookies, ice cream, and FRENCH FRIES!! I am also happy and proud of myself for exercising, and eating healthy! I'll post more about the exercise with G.S.P. :)
I'll keep you posted!

Make that Change
"Fat" sung to the tune of "Bad" By Michael Jackson
Just watch your mouth, because I'll sit on you.
The word is out, better treat me right..
'Cause I'm the queen of cellulite
Ham on, ham on, ham on whole wheat, all right..
My zippers bust, my buckles break,
I'm too much wo-man for you to take
the pavement cracks when I fall down
I've got more chins than Chinatown
Well, I never used a phone booth,
And I never see my toes
When I go to the movies,
I take up seven rows
Because I'M FAT, I'm fat, come on
(Fat, fat, really really fat)
You know I'm fat, I'm fat, you know it
(Fat, fat, really really fat)
Don't you call me pudgy, portly, or stout
Just tell me again who's fat...
Once again, I am writing about my fat. AKA: beefy, big, butterball, elephantine, heavy, large, plump, thickset, or my favorite, whalelike.
I have a problem. I love to eat. A LOT! And deep inside this "whalelike" body is an unhappy girl. And I don't like it. Let's see. I tried a "eat healthy for 8 weeks," and I did really good for two weeks, and pretty much quit after week three. It was hard. The hard part was no sugar or sweets for six days of the week, and eating it for one day. That one day was declared, "Meagan's Heavenly Day." Then after that day was, "Meagan's HE...double hokey sticks Day! (eekers!) I didn't realized how much I love sugar, and how much I need sugar in my life. It makes me happy. It makes me want to sing it to the world!
"You know our love was meant to beeeeee...
The kind of love that last for-everrrrrrrrr
And I want you here with me from tonight, until the end of time...
You should know-oh, everywhere I go,
You're always on my mind, in my heart, in my soul baby,
You're the meaning in my life..you're the INSPIRATION!
Wanna have you near me, I wanna have you hear me sayin'
No one needs you, more than I need you...." I love you sugar...you sweet thing you!
George St. Pierre, he says, "Sugar is a drug, and we become physically addicted to it. Our bodies build up a tolerance and crave more and more. Sugar messes with your insulin levels, which in turn, affect your energy levels." I believe you honey!
So I am going to try to break-up with Sugar for 8 weeks--and see how we are till then. My husband and I have decided its time for a change. A real hard HEALTHY change. When he first told me this idea.. I said, "What-EVER!" Then I showed him "the hand,"and my fleshy arm wiggled, and I realized he was right. We are starting Rushfit! WHOO! And we are starting Monday. We are changing our diet- and working out together in the mornings! How fun! I am trying to get pumped up about it....and I thought I could blog about my experience. Did I mention that George St. Pierre, or G.S.P...or PYT..(pretty young thing) or what I like to call him, (I'm breaking out in song again)
"Sugar, Ah honey honey..
you are my candy girl (or candy trainer..ooh candy!)
and you got me to want to work out!"
I don't want to call him sugar--because I am going to break up with sugar. Ill just call him George. George the trainer. I'm gonna train like a champion. Sting like a bee. Bite like a lion. Strike like a rattlesnake. And...and....be able to fit in my jeans again!! YEAH!!! Let me just say one or two more things. This is going to be VERY HARD for me, and I do not want to quit. I need to make this change in my life. I want it. I need it.

Hobbies
Ladies and Gents--put your hands together because....MEAGAN HAS HER OWN BLOG!!
WHOO!
I just thought it would be fun to write a blog about the highs, the lows, the middles, the anythings-the extra-ordinary life of a mother of two boys---or just about nothing in particular! So here we GO!
My wise mother once told me, that I should get a hobby. And she was right. As a young girl I started many things--and I have quit many things.
"Yeah, I’m a great quitter: it’s one of the few things I do well… I come from a long line of quitters. My father was a quitter, my grandfather was a quitter… I was raised to give up" -George Costanza
Let's see I tried, piano, cross-country, clogging, cross-stitching, sewing, basketball-(that was a fun freshman year in high school) I can't think of other ones, but I am sure that the memories will keep on flowin'. My point is, I have tried many things--but my problem is I don't STICK to it long enough to make it my hobby. I have a short-attention span when it comes to learning new things. I have to find an INTEREST--a BIG interest in it to STICK to you it--like a stamp to a letter, or a bird to a feather. :) Then my beautiful mother--whom I love with all my heart asks me, what do you like to do?? Then I reply: I love to watch movies! And I know what she is thinking--and what I am thinking--"Wow-that's really something--what a hobby-to sit (or lay down with a nice comfy blanket--and may be eat some icecream--preferably mint chocolate chip-or cookie dough!) on a couch and watch movies. Meagan--that will get you in life somewhere!" HA!
Let me just justify this statement. Number one: I love to watch SUPERHERO movies! (Even better!) I guess because I grew up watching them, and I just felt like I was in my own little world where Superman saves the day, and Lois and Clark/Superman have a wonderful cute romance, and it makes me happy. I can talk more about my love of superheros in another post! (yeah!) Back to my hobbies. So there's one: watching T.V.--but I only watch my tv shows when my chores are done, and the kids are in bed...its Meagan Time. :)
Also told my mother I love FOOD! And I'm good at it! (eating it!) May be I can learn to cook healthy or desserts! I have an amazing husband that can cook--really well--so thankful for that! I can talk about my cooking stories and abilities in ANOTHER POST! (this is going to be a great blog my friends!)
The last thing that I mentioned was, I like to write. I have always enjoyed writing in high school, so why not blog? So that's what I am going to do. Just type up a storm over here!
